It shone between the shapely brows
The powder dusting off her nose
As he stood behind her,
Locking melting eyes in the mirror..
The third eye watched over her
Cavorting very possessively
Festivals added the flaming
To the mark of conjugal love
She stopped applying, the mercury
Eating into her thinning hair
Occasions brought out with finery
Added that dash of femininity
As she lay with Alta on her lifeless feet
Her sindoor was borrowed by the married devout;
The Bindu was intact, her broken partner
Decorated her last parting!
